Contoh Esei Bahasa Inggeris Trial Mara

Assalammualaikum dan selamat sejahtera semua!

Post ini merupakan post pertama saya dalam tahun 2016. Eh? Ye ke? Hehe. Okay. Saya doakan anda yang sedang membaca post ini sihat-sihat selalu. Amiin. Semalam saya kemas bilik saya sebab mama saya nak kitar semula barang-barang yang tak guna (Nasib baik saya masih berguna lagi. Hehe) . Lagipun saya sedang cuti hari raya. Buat pengetahuan semua, guru pelatih Institut Pendidikan Guru akan bercuti sama seperti cuti sekolah dalam kalendar. Jadi, saya selalu tak sama cuti dengan kawan-kawan saya di universiti lain. Hehe. 

Berbalik kepada kisah saya tadi. Saya sedang kemas-kemas bilik dan tiba-tiba saya terjumpa sebuah buku sewaktu saya di tingkatan 5. Dalam buku tersebut, saya ada tulis 3 buah esei bahasa Inggeris yang saya akan tulis dalam SPM 2014. Bila saya baca semula esei-esei tersebut, saya rasa nak gelak pun ada. Hahahahaha. Apabila saya baca semula esei-esei tersebut saya baru teringat akan sesuatu.

Dalam Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), saya suka kertas Bahasa Inggeris kertas satu (1119/1). Dulu waktu sekolah rendah, saya tak suka sangat subjek bahasa Inggeris sebab susah kan? Tapi sejak saya masuk MRSM Felda sewaktu saya di tingkatan 4, saya ditemukan dengan seorang guru bahasa Inggeris yang sangat memahami pelajar. Cara mengajar beliau sangat bagus dan membuatkan semua orang suka belajar bahasa Inggeris! Hehe.

Kertas 1119/1 ada 2 bahagian dan kedua-dua bahagian ialah esei. This paper consist of Section A and Section B. Section A is Guided Writing while Section B is Continuous Writing.*Kertas bahasa Inggeris kena speaking lah kan? Hahaha*  I want to focus on Section B because section A is a guided essay which there are a lot of information given and you just have to complete the sentence. In Section B, there are 5 questions and you are required to choose one question and write a composition about it. My teacher always say that I have to choose a question to answer before the real exam (SPM). I was freaking shock. Hahaha. That’s mean I have to choose question that I can fit a lot of stories. Ada faham kah? Okay begini :

1)    Pilih soalan yang boleh kita reka cerita (Lazimnya soalan nombor 5/4 atau yang suruh sambung atau akhiri cerita dengan ayat)

2)    Sediakan esei tersebut sejak tingkatan 4! Pastikan esei tersebut boleh diubah suai ke dalam pelbagai jenis esei.

3)    Kalau suka soalan fakta, takpa buat je asalkan tahu tense apa nak guna J (Saya cadangkan,janganlah sebab Section A dah fakta)

4)    Pastikan kita guna tense yang betul!

5)    Terangkan setiap situasi dalam esei kita dengan menggunakan adjective atau adverb yang betul.

6)    Kalau esei kita tak sama dengan soalan, ubah suai. (Nama karakter, setting dan lain-ain tapi jangan ubah jalan cerita dan tense)

7)    Langkah pertama, buat dulu satu esei, tunjuk pada cikgu dan minta cikgu murnikan esei anda, jangan berputus asa walaupun esei anda berkali-kali dimurnikan. Terus murnikan sampai dapat hasil yang terbaik.

8)    Apabila dah dapat satu karangan yang sempurna, ingat dan hafal jalan cerita serta tense yang digunakan.

9)    Pastikan esei anda pelik daripada yang lain.

Pastikan anda ikut segala yang saya tulis di atas. Hehe. Di bawah ini ada satu contoh esei yang ada dalam buku esei saya :

Question number 5 Mara Trial 2014

When I looked into the mirror, all that I saw was my parents busy setting for their friend’s party. I was home alone. They were too far away. That night was pitch black. They asked me to lock all the doors and windows. I did. I was alone. Just me, myself and I now. I did not know what to do until an idea appeared on my mighty mind. I watched television in my fancy living room but that ‘fancy’ living room felt odd to me that night. I turned on the television. There was ‘Barney and Friends’ show that night. I was quite sleepy until I saw Barney’s eyes turned chilly red and sharp teeth suddenly appeared on television. I felt frightened and my heart was beating loud. I turned off the television quickly. I did not feel sleepy anymore. I sit on my mother’s leather sofa and I curled up my body. I could feel the cold breeze around me.

That night was quiet and calm. Abruptly, I heard someone rang the doorbell outside. I walked slowly to the window. My leg was shaking and my hands were numb. I peeked through the window and I saw a men with a messy look outside. His hair was so messy like a beggar. He had a torn shirt and trousers on. He walked with bare leg. His eyes was burning red and when he grinned at me. I could see his sharp teeth exactly like Barney that I saw just now. He waved his hand to me. I was totally freak out. I ran quickly to my bed. I covered all of my skinny body with my fluffy comforter. In my heart, I prayed to God to send my parents home as fast as lightning. I wished they will appear infront of me immediately to comfort me.

I got a brilliant idea. I went downstairs as timid as mouse without any noise. The doorbells are still ringing. I was frightened but I tried to call my parents with our house telephone. When I picked up the telephone, all that I heard was nothing. Nothing but silence. The doorbells promptly stop. I was so respite but still stunned. I had goosebump when I heard something on the phone. The voice asked, “ Do you want to build a snowman?”. I hurled the phone and ran as fast as I could to my bedroom.

I stayed in my room and I heard something crawled under my bed. That was so creepy. I could not breathe because I was so terrified. I tried my best to look under my bed and I saw nothing. I put my comforter on me and I remained silent. All of my body was shaking. Suddenly, a smooth and cold hands touched me. I just ignored that hands and closed my eyes. When I heard the voice of my mum, I opened my eyes and I embraced her like I have never done before. I thought that I was going to die on that night. I cried a river. Tears streamed down my face.

I told my parents everything about that starry night. They did not believe me. They doubted me. Next morning, my mother took me to her old friend. Her friend is a psychiatrist. I saw ‘Dr. Bieber’ at her door. My mother and I entered the cozy room. She sit and talked to the doctor and left me alone with the doctor. Dr. Bieber asked me to sit infront of him. I did sit infront of him. When I calmly look at him, he asked, “ Do you want to build a snowman?”. He grinned.
